We rely on our Foster Homes to provide a safe place for our rabbits to stay while they wait for their forever families. You have an important role as a Foster parent with TPRR. As a Foster based rescue we can only help when we have Foster homes available.

We provide you with an X-pen, pellets, hay, litterbox, bowls, vet care and support and you provide a loving indoor home, greens and rabbit safe litter! Of course if you are willing to help by donating some of the supplies that is always appreciated. Supplies on loan will be returned at the end of the foster agreement.

Applicants must be at least 21 yrs of age or older.

You must have the space (a 4ft by 4ft area) for an X pen, as we do not use cages. Rabbits also need free roam time in a bunnyproofed area. We will offer guidance on this and support.

All Foster rabbits must be indoors at all times.

We ask for a 6 month minimum commitment but ideally until your foster rabbit is adopted.

You must live within the Windsor, Lasalle, Lakeshore, Amherstburg areas. We do accept foster applicants from Essex, Kingsville and Leamington, if you provide supplies or are able to pick up supplies on loan in Windsor.

Any rabbits in the home need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and kept separate.

You must keep an open line of communication and provide pictures and updates to help get your Foster Rabbit adopted.

Foster families must be able to take their rabbit to one of our vet clinics for check ups. Clinics are located in Windsor, On *TPRR pays for all vetting costs.
